Job Profile
- The E-commerce Account Manager will manage key strategic accounts within e-commerce, working across the business with multiple functions to drive growth, and bring e-commerce and digital expertise for the business
- Develop and maintain relationships with key e-commerce accounts in Japan to grow the e-commerce channel revenue and lead the strategy for e- commerce accounts
- Drive shopper value proposition on e-commerce accounts
- Design and execute on-site and off-site promotional campaigns
- Be responsible for key metrics such as sales, demand planning, stock levels and P&L management
- Use data to make sales and marketing decisions including annual and quarterly sales forecasts
- Achieve the sales forecasts on an annual and quarterly basis
- Collaborate with other cross functional teams in Japan and other regional teams including sales, customer development and marketing
- Watch for market and competitive trends related to e-commerce
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent working experience
- 3 to 8 years of experience in e-commerce sales or as an account manager working with online platforms
- Fluency in written and spoken Japanese and English
- Experience of joint business planning and dealing with online marketplaces in Japan (such as Amazon, Rakuten etc)
- Experience in e-commerce on-site and off-site campaign/promotion planning and execution
- Strong negotiation and partner management skills
- Experience managing digital critical metrics along with proficiency in data analytics, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking attitude
