- Create write-once utilities, and sister projects that aid our engineering efforts
- Take the lead on scaling infrastructure across Database, Caching, Analytics, etc
- Write low level infra access and helper libraries to be used by other teams
- Investigate complex production issues, learn from mistakes and move on
- Plan and assist in regular release / launch / engineering education process
- Write jobs and scale our in house scheduler, machine learning, and data science projects
- Automation FTW
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years in a product based company, 1+ years managing engineers
- You have locally setup load balancers like HAproxy/ Caddy/ Varnish/ Nginx, statsd/ graphite/grafana, ELK
- Opinionated about aggregated logging, Kibaba, Queues, Caching systems, DB’s
- Worked with a stream processing framework like Spark / Storm / Kafka consumers
- Ability to define and translate system design into detailed and actionable parts
- Strong understanding of agile product development, delivery and tools
- Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Good with numbers, analytical in thinking, and data driven decision making
- Tinkerer and a power user of Postman / Insomnia, curl, Github, JIRA, mockups, etc.
