Recruiting the right fit for a company needs to have a strategic approach. As businesses seek to increase their value, soft skills are taking precedence in the workplace. According to a recent survey, 93% of recruiting managers said that when making hiring decisions, soft skills are either “vital” or “extremely important.”
While hard skills are focused on mostly niche areas, inculcating soft skills allow employees to be an effective workplace contributor and an efficient colleague. These skills are cross-functional by nature. They set apart an employee or organisation, so much, that a survey by LinkedIn found out that when employees do not stay long with a company, 89% of the time it is because they were lacking in soft skills.
