Businesses are always prone to employee attrition. People quit for various reasons – sometimes professional and other times, personal. While organisations cannot do much for personal reasons, containing and controlling the professional reasons are very much in their hands. Employees leave when they feel undervalued, or do not receive due compensation and benefits for the amount of labour they are putting in.
But organisations can also do a lot for retaining employees. Making the workplace a safe space for its people is one of the biggest responsibilities of a company. Great employees believe in giving their all for the organisation’s growth, generating fruitful outcomes in the company’s favour, extending wholehearted support in any way possible, and passing up better job opportunities because they are loyal employees who prefer to stay in a company where they believe they are a valuable resource and have high self-esteem.
