As more and more women challenge the biases that come up in the workplace, studies have found out that women are better leaders when it comes to leading with empathy and compassion. The recent years have seen an uptick in women leadership, and while the trends look promising, companies need to strive harder for getting more female leaders at the helm.
Understanding that these biases exist and recognising them is the first step to promote workplace diversity. It helps organisations introspect and have a mindful approach in recruiting leaders. The key is to remain consistent in promoting that level of diversity, which encourages more female employees to come up and take their deserving seats.
