Roles & Responsibilities
As Head – International Business Commercial Operations, the candidate will drive commercial growth across international markets—especially South Africa, for both passenger and electric vehicles. This role involves end-to-end ownership of sales, distributor performance, customer care, and profitability, while ensuring internal alignment across logistics, planning, and service functions.
- Define and execute commercial plans to achieve international sales, revenue, and margin targets.
- Manage full P&L responsibility for offtake and retail sales as well as customer service performance across markets.
- Lead distributor relationships and ensure alignment on volume, brand standards, and retail execution.
- Oversee forecasting, order allocation, and coordination with supply chain and sales operations teams.
- Drive aftersales service excellence and customer satisfaction in alignment with brand expectations.
- Establish structured review frameworks to monitor KPIs and performance governance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across sales, logistics, customer service, and planning.
- Enhance operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives across the commercial value chain.
- Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team across international business functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (BE).
- 15+ years of experience in international business leadership, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Strong expertise in international sales, distribution management, and commercial operations.
- Proven P&L management capability, including revenue planning, cost control, and margin optimization.
- Hands-on experience in sales forecasting, demand-supply planning, and CRM systems.
- Proficiency in customer care, aftersales operations, and warranty management across markets.
- Skilled in commercial contracts, distributor management, and cross-border negotiations.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with high adaptability, data-driven decision-making ability, and execution focus.
