Roles & Responsibilities
The Head – Sales & Marketing will be responsible for driving revenue growth by leading the company’s sales strategy, customer acquisition and key account management. The role includes identifying new market opportunities, analysing industry trends and aligning sales initiatives with business objectives. It also involves building and leading a high-performing sales team and collaborating with internal departments to support overall growth. The key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies aligned with the company’s goals, including identifying new markets and growth opportunities
- Setting sales targets and monitoring team performance using data-driven insights, while adjusting plans to ensure targets are met
- Managing and motivating the sales team through recruitment, training, coaching and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers by understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service
- Analysing market trends and competitor activity to refine sales approaches and capitalise on emerging opportunities
- Collaborating with internal departments including marketing, product development and operations to ensure strategic alignment
- Driving new business acquisition through both personal sales efforts and team-led initiatives
- Applying a deep understanding of sales processes such as lead generation, pipeline management and deal closure within the packaging industry
- Proven track record in new business acquisition, individual sales contribution and revenue growth delivery
- Strong leadership and team management experience with a solid understanding of sales across the packaging industry and Pan-India markets
- Experience in selling to sectors such as Pharma, FMCG and QSR
- Deep understanding of sales processes including lead generation, pipeline management and deal closure
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive measurable results
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Relevant certifications in sales or marketing will be an added advantage
