Roles & Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead all financial initiatives of the organization, including capital structuring, investment planning, and overall financial governance. Working closely with other C-suite leaders, the CFO will manage cash flow, oversee accounting and finance teams, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The role also involves driving budgeting, forecasting, and compliance processes, while acting as a strategic partner to support key financial decisions and long-term business growth. The key responsibilities include:
- Report financial results to the Board and risk matters to the Audit Committee while providing consolidated financial insights across all plants and business units to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
- Evaluate opportunities for investment and disinvestment, lead financial due diligence and oversee post-merger integration to support inorganic growth initiatives.
- Guide long-term business direction by contributing to business planning, tax strategies and capital structuring.
- Manage group-wide cash flow, liquidity and financing requirements; collaborate with investment bankers and ensure efficient fund deployment.
- Resolve complex financial matters including tax compliance, disputes, reconciliations and high-value transactions across entities.
- Ensure timely statutory payments and full compliance with regulatory requirements including ROC filings, direct and indirect taxes and ongoing legal matters.
- Oversee monthly closings, statutory audits and financial reporting across all plants via ERP systems ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to standardize financial practices and address non-routine issues across all departments and business units.
- Lead and align finance, tax and accounts teams with corporate strategy and recommend improvements in financial policies and reporting frameworks.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and internal reports, and regularly analyze actual performance against forecasts to guide future financial decisions.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 18–25 years of experience in finance leadership roles within manufacturing companies
- Prior experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Controller or Director-level finance leader in a plant or multi-unit setup
- Proven expertise in handling mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration processes
- Strong experience with fund raising and investor engagement, particularly with international bankers
- Direct involvement in IPO preparation and execution, including regulatory compliance and stakeholder alignment
- Deep understanding of SAP (Finance module) and ERP-driven financial environments
- Strong business partnership skills with the ability to support promoters and executive leadership in strategic decision-making
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting financial data to executive leadership and boards
