Roles & Responsibilities
As Practice lead you would be responsible for:
- Lead the development and execution of the ESG management framework, ensuring alignment with IFC Performance Standards.
- Integrate ESG principles across the company’s strategic planning, operations, and reporting processes.
- Monitor ESG performance in line with global frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP, and derive actionable insights from ESG data.
- Ensure compliance with evolving ESG regulations and proactively identify and mitigate ESG-related risks
- Collaborate with legal, finance, operations, HR, and investor relations teams to embed ESG objectives throughout business functions.
- Prepare ESG and sustainability reports in accordance with international standards, and support climate-related disclosures and non-financial reporting.
- Lead sustainability initiatives including climate action, resource efficiency, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and circular economy efforts.
- Drive the organization’s journey toward achieving net-zero targets.
- Engage with investors, regulatory bodies, communities, and NGOs to foster transparency and trust through ongoing communication.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards across operations, ensuring consistency with ESG and compliance frameworks.
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Environmental Engineering or an MS in Environmental Science or Sustainability.
- Lead Auditor certification in Environmental Management Systems (preferred).
- At least 15 years of ESG leadership experience, ideally within infrastructure, roads, oil & gas, or financial services sectors.
- Strong familiarity with IFC / World Bank ESG standards and frameworks.
- Deep understanding of energy efficiency measures and carbon reduction strategies.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership.
- Practical experience in the execution and integration of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
