Roles & Responsibilities

The Vice President – Sales will lead the company’s global sales function, with full responsibility for driving revenue across business development, lead generation, marketing, and sales operations. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader with a strong industry network, proven ability to close complex deals, and experience in building and scaling high-performing sales teams. The role’s key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve individual and team revenue targets, leveraging personal networks and expanding outreach through events and market intelligence.
  • Manage end-to-end sales performance, including deal structuring, large account closures, upselling, renewals, and retention efforts.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Business Development Managers, fostering a performance-driven, accountable sales culture.
  • Oversee sales operations and systems — including CRM tools, forecasting, pipeline tracking, and incentive programs  to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Drive lead generation through multi-channel efforts, including partnerships, referrals, marketing campaigns, and outbound sales; monitor pre-sales effectiveness and report to CRO.
  • Supervise marketing operations such as digital campaigns, brand visibility, event marketing, and performance analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, delivery, and engineering to align on sales goals and execution plans. Act as the point of coordination for smooth interdepartmental communication.

  • 15+ years of proven success in a senior sales leadership role within the IT services or software development industry.
  • Strong leadership ability with a track record of guiding high-performing sales teams toward ambitious targets.
  • A well-established professional network that can be leveraged for business generation, along with the ability to expand it further.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales operations and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
